UPDATE: Up to 5 Continuing Education credits are pending for this program for social workers & counselors. No cost.

Leaders of health & human services organizations: Please join us for a retreat providing an opportunity to reflect on your capacity to serve diverse populations. Through a keynote presentation, case study, and practical, interactive exercises, you will learn about the federal Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) Standards. You will assess your agency's readiness to implement these standards and will walk away with ideas, a framework and an action plan for next steps.
We encourage organizations to send a team of two participants, ideally an executive and mid-level manager, to brainstorm and plan together around ways to motivate change in their organization.
5 CEUs pending for social workers and counselors. See details in flyer below, or print/share the full PDF here.
This retreat is funded by the Southwest Regional Mental Health Board and the Greenwich Community Health Improvement Project. First priority will be given to participants from organizations based in Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, Norwalk, Stamford, Weston, Westport, and Wilton.

Creating a space for leaders to come together and focus on health equity is such an important initiative. Retreats provide the perfect setting for meaningful conversations and real change, allowing participants to step away from daily demands and gain new perspectives. I truly believe that the right environment plays a huge role in fostering growth and well-being. That’s why places like bliss by the sea are so valuable—being by the ocean naturally encourages relaxation, reflection, and inspiration. A well-designed retreat experience can be a powerful catalyst for both personal and collective transformation.
This leadership retreat focused on promoting health equity is such an inspiring initiative. It’s amazing how gatherings like this can help build stronger communities and empower leaders to create real change. Reflecting on these ideas, I can’t help but think about how a Retreat House could offer a similar environment of support and connection. A Retreat House is the perfect place for groups to come together, work through challenges, and leave feeling revitalized with a renewed sense of purpose. It’s spaces like these that can foster growth, collaboration, and, ultimately, transformation in any field, including health equity.
